Weekend just gone I got the KH through its MOT after a week of slaving away getting the loom to work and other bits and took it down to Stormin the Castle an hour later (last minute is my speciality!)

Didn’t bother loading up just took a back pack and the met the missus with it being 2 mile down the road its just not worth it IMO, on site anyway.

Spotted this paint job on a RC 36 (I like, if I’d had money when I owned mine I would have liked to make a RC 30 replica)

Not strictly today, but last Thursday I went away on a mini UK Tour, with the eventual destination being north/west coast of Scotland.

Cambridge - Lincolnshire Wolds - North Yorkshire Moors - Yorkshire Dales - Lake District - Loch Lomand national park - Scottish Highlands - Cairngorms - and then doubling back on myself back home to Cambridge

I'm betting it was pretty much effortless for both bike and rider. These are the kinds of trips I'd do if I had one.
That kind of milage in one go on mine would be pretty harsh on me.

I remember that little yellow sub outside the shop next to Loch Ness and the Commando monument, awesome location.

Never missed a beat, as you would probably expect since its pretty new.

Nice and upright, everything in easy reach. The little screen lip is ugly but makes 70mph visor up riding possible. All in all a very comfy experience. Exactly what I envisaged when I upgraded from my previous bike with trips like this in mind.

Decent luggage and 250 mile Tank range helps too.

15 of the Sarf East invaded France for some drinking + karting, hooning and culture (strip clubs + museums).

There was the usual tyre smoke, wheelies, near misses, hangovers, pranks and giggles. However, there were no fires, no breakdowns, no crashes, no arrests (yet), no one got lost and the only person to lap a roundabout wasn't me, but Carvel.....it was all a bit opposite to normal.

What wasn't different was the laughs. Had a great time! Race 2 was some of the funniest shit I've seen, as crash scenes from Days of Thunder played out. And everyone cheering the legend that is Haroman666 around, as the only member to crack the 50 second laptime and qualify for the superkarts.
We were drunk, he was drunk and still showing the locals how its done. Smile

I did a dawn ride to Flambrough head to get some pictures at sunrise... The sky overhead was clear but on the horizon, not so much.

Then a quick stop up at North Landing, near the old lifeboat station.

https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14355543_10154551987663436_1727990481044169980_n.jpg?oh=ea929ee5373c17b2e8c69bb69c2cf86e&oe=5875C2EC

Then on up to Whitby, Pickering, Helmsley and a stop off at Squires on the way home.

I was dicking around with a helmet cam and thought this was kinda cool as I went into some mist, shows the LED headlights quite well.

OK, so, I managed to take a couple of photos today whilst out. Took the Enfield out for a bit of a run.

Wolves A41-> The Raven at Whitchurch...

https://tony-home.no-ip.org/bikes/ROYAL_ENFIELD_BULLET_350_2006_20160916_Raven_Cafe_1.jpg

From there, I decided to go to the Cafe at Quatt, going mainly down the A442. Didn't take a pic there, as I have some already from there. After there, went to Halfpenny Green, after calling past the Cider House (was closed, my luck !!)

https://tony-home.no-ip.org/bikes/ROYAL_ENFIELD_BULLET_350_2006_20160916_The_Cider_House_1.jpg

Carried onto Halfpenny Green, then called in at The Old Gate at Heathton, I did take a pic, but it wasn't any good, will do next time. However, if you are in the area I thoroughly recommend this pub, nice beer, gorgeous food, and very friendly owner, bar staff and regulars !!

Cheers

Tony

Some of the Sarf East went to Lydden Hill for a track day.

We had a racer with us, but for everyone else, it was a first attempt.

Goals were to survive and not be as shit at the end as the start. Thanks to some very helpful pointers from BishBash and Carvel, I got better and had a fantastic time. Really enjoyed it, mega day Thumbs Up

Up at 5am was a bit brutal though Smile

Felt quite calm until we saw someone bin it on a sighting lap Shocked

Got to Keswick thinking the season is definitely turning now, getting chilly. It had warmed up nicely by the time I got to Wasdale, and was like a fine summer's day, but was cold again heading home. I'll have to start putting some warmer gear on from now methinks.

Feeling very frustrated at my lack of chances to go out for a spin, I did ride my bike around my front drive today Shocked Laughing .
I was however moving junk around in the garage so the bikes had to come out.

Was out with my regular riding buddy who giving his new KTM SMT990 a shakedown ride. Basically, taking the R1 on roads which would be better suited to a supermoto, but doing R1 speeds! Local wooded roads in the Cotswolds.

Got the RSV out for a hoon around Berkshires finest back roads this afternoon. Looped from Windsor out to Henley via Twyford and then onto Marlow taking a few detours in between. Marlow bridge was closed so I doubled back the same way I got there. Took a slight detour to my favourite kneedown roundabout and got some practise in. Mega fun.

Stopped by the river in Marlow for a rest, perfect riding conditions.
