Not today, but the other day. At least once a week I go up to Market Harborough to visit my dad who is in a care home there. Not the nicest of destinations but the roads in that part of Leicestershire and a bit further north into Rutland are truly lovely. Well worth a trip if you have never been to that part of the counrty Thumbs Up Took the 636 last time, gave it a good beating.

Haven't been out on a bike for a couple of weeks, so today I thought I'd put that right and did a 500 mile trip to Scotland. Froze my nuts off in a pea-souper through Glasgow on the monotonous motorway which is the only way I can get a decent days riding in if I'm to go beyond the southern uplands, but then, was beautiful from Dumbarton onwards.

I'll pretty much let the photos do the talking, as I'm too knackered to say much.

Torver Biker Breakfast - near Coniston this morning, came home via ambleside and Kirkstone pass.

stayed in Eskdale for a week, and rode Wrynose and Hardnott Pass which was nice.

My little CRF250L was used as greenlaner on Saturday weekend before last, then on the Tuesday, put the saddle bags and sat navcharger on it, and rode it from Bedford up to the lakes and all around and back down again. Tyres howled a bit on the A1 though.

Wow. Just wow. What a day!!

From the highs of the last couple of weeks, this week has been poor with one thing and another. So today had a nice dose of medicine at Goodwood Breakfast club with Carvel, followed by sunburn down by the sea with the family. Pretty sweet for October 2nd.
Riding home at 9pm was a bit cold though for summer gloves.

Rode to Pitlochry from Dundee with my missus on Saturday morning where we stayed the night. On Sunday, we took advantage of a beautiful day and travelled home via the South side of Loch Tummel, back through Aberfeldy and over the Sma Glen.

The low cloud and mist over Tummel was one of the most beautiful sights I've seen in Scotland. Superb.

I have absolutely no idea where I was when I took these photos today
It was either Lancaster area or South Yorkshire.

Woke up this morning, saw the sun shining and decided I'd take the bike out for a ride. Took the M6 north and came off it somewhere that a sign said Yorkshire Moors.

Ended up in a bit of a panic at one point, as I was in the middle of nowhere and with very little fuel left. I found two petrol stations but, they were closed. Then Google maps took me on a merry dance through dirt tracks, to where it was telling me there was a BP station but, IT LIED Evil or Very Mad all that was there was some business school.

Eventually found somewhere in the end, again though, I have no idea where.

Out for a bimble with some of the Sarf East. 125 miles

Decided to avoid Brightona and it worked out well. Nice roads (but busy as usual), very nice destination (Perch on Lancing Beach).

As always a giggle and pleasure to be in their company.

The sun shines down on the riteous.....or the bikes at least.

Met Silky at Rykas. Not saying he doesn't ride much now, but there were cobwebs on his man parts bike.
