|
|
Hey everyone, in the process of rebuilding an NSR125 JC22, thought id share the story here as I've seen this forum seems to have the most info on the NSR Im also making a vlog of the build, half for interest and half for remembering how everything goes back together! Hope you can help me out along the way.
Sorry about the sound quality and blurry bit in the middle, first time video maker so give me some slack Current situation is the carb is leaking when I open the petcock. Id say the carb floats are stuck or its just gunked up, I am currently looking for a rebuild kit. I think its a Dellorto PHBH 28 so first step is to hear it running and go from there.
Thanks for your interest. My VLOG is on YouTube below

Hey guys,
Got a bit further in the rebuild in the last month. Please feel free to catch up on my VLOG below
https://youtu.be/RrNxVwN9Djw
Should have another one up soon, currently have the front forks and calipers off to spray up. Loads of bits arriving. I only get the odd weekend down home to work on it so progress is slow. Hope you enjoy, please comment if you have any ideas (or problems ).
Also for anyone who saw my first one, yes i filled up the engine with 2 stroke oil but i realized just before I ran it it actually takes 10w40 for the gearoil so dont worry |

Think I might have to do the same it looks awesome and yeah I bought it for 400 and it was seized and a mess so me and my dad did a engine rebuild top and bottom and had to get a new air box and loss of othe bits and had to re wire it but now its running nicely could just do with a sports exhaust ____________________ As long as I can catch fish and ride bikes I'll be happy 😁

It just seems expensive plus it's designed for the 150 that supposedly puts out 39hp so surely it can't be the best exhaust for the 125 it's a replica of sito pons campsa Honda nsr 500 I'm not sure if it's a decal kit but I've not seen another one like it even on the internet but yeah red wheels could look nice ____________________ As long as I can catch fish and ride bikes I'll be happy 😁

And the Tyga exhaust is coming in at €240 from Tyga Europe in mild steel which isnt bad considering what full exhaust systems for bikes usually cost? |

For longevity stainless is recommended but at the end of the day if you store the bike any bit properly it won't rust for atleast a decade or more. Most cars use mild steel exhausts with no problems for that length of time. It's perfect for the NSR and there is very minute weight difference betweenness stainless and mild steel |
