...none of which matters Cool Passed, and one step closer to binning the L's!

Told the test centre in advance about the theory certificate being missing, and they sorted it. The stall was from faffing nervously after the manual handling - I hadn't brought the stand up fully, so the engine cut out when I tried to go into first. And the low speed earned me a minor fault and another ride round for the avoidance manoeuvre.

Now to find time for Mod 2 Smile

Nice one Graham, that's the worst bit over. Best of luck for your Mod 2. Remember to think of the instructor as a sat nav in your ear and treat it like any other ride.

Tom.

Right, and Kate Upton sucked you off once you passed. Pull the other one, me old mucker, it's got bells on.

So that's who it was? 2/10 Rolling Eyes

The examiner wrote out a chit that I can bring back for Mod 2. (For the theory cert, not the victory lap action.)

Manxies just ask you for your certificate number, then ask Gef the talking mongoose to confirm it. They probably use computers in the UK though.

Still, I'm surprised they let op take the test without the sacred piece of paper.

As long as you inform the test centre in advance that you've lost your theory certificate, they can check their system for the expiry date, and let you take the test. If you just turn up without it though, it all depends on the whim of the examiner whether or not he 'has time' to check.

…which they were fine with today Very Happy

Examiner was annoyed that when we got back, my instructor had gone off somewhere and taken all my docs with him. I think he might have had to look it all up on the computer again to fill out the form to send off with my licence (which I did have in my wallet). But anyway he did that and I've binned the L-plates Very Happy

(No sign of Kate Upton today.)

It's just a quick call to get a TT certificate number, no great shakes. We don't even need them for cars and vocational tests.
