I saw a shed load of these at Brightona.

Bunch of yoofs riding together, one of them was covered with crash bars and bungs, and had a wheelie bar on it Laughing Thumbs Up

Well, I'll never buy one as they are too small for my taste, but they are lovely looking bits of kit Wub

They need more power as they just feel broken with what they've got. Also a small screen to get the wind off your chest.

See them being small makes me want one. I think it'll look hilarious with my 6ft 15st frame smothering it.

Love mine, sold the Repsol as it wasn't getting used. When I bought the cheapie and pimped it, it's awesome. A Year on, the 181 is still whizzing along just the same, now with 4K on it since being upgraded. About to get it's first MOT in December!

But nudging £3K now, at 6.9%. That's a lot of money for very little bike.

Dealers will still take a deal though. My Repsol, they told me that 0% was all done and dusted and stop being a chancer, we can sell them without such inticements, yadda yadda yadda. Bumped up the deposit to £1500 and he ripped my hand off with 0% for the remaining balance!

I got chatting to some Honda guys in Bangkok who had a bunch of them out on the street, lots of advertising etc and from memory they were < £1,000 in the local market over there.
I would have been tempted too buy one there and try get it back but transporting it/wouldn't meet EU bull crap regs etc...

Didn't consider riding it back though Thinking Thinking

Unfortunately, the Mod Dam is no more, as a ruptured fuel line caused it to burn into a smoldering pile Rolling Eyes

He'd have been lucky to get 30 miles on a tank.

Didn't it get rebuilt then caught fire again?

If I did a lot of 'in city' commuting then a 250cc version or one like wots with a 180cc conversion, would really interest me (even though I'm too big for it).
But with it's standard 125 I'd get bored having to work the gears non-stop. It'd be fun occasionally but not all the time.

In S.E.Asia there are some really interesting sub-250cc bikes around. It's a shame the manufacturers don't bring more of them to the UK.

How much power do you reckon it's producing? I read somewhere the 160cc kit (whoever it's by) puts out 12bhp Neutral

I believe standard is about 10. I think it's around 15. It's the torque you notice, so much shove in the mid range. If they'd used up to the 125 limit it would've been better.

You've got me looking at these again Cool You did get a bargain, I saw one with a seized engine go for £800. How much did you spend on upgrading the bike?

In all honesty, with everything, not just the BBK but various things to improve the handling and braking, near 1k. But that still was cheaper than buying a good used model at the time. Hence I didn't mind spending that much on it.

still cheap, I spend that just on an exhaust..

They are great to ride in London, as you can go through tiny gaps.

One thing I had to get used to, was the fact that storming off lights doesnt work unless their is a traffic jam, as cars end up hounding your behind.

On the a40 into London with all the average speed cameras its a lot less stressful.
