It seems that The Grand Tour doesn't have enough CO2 reductions, non-white presenters, fat butch lesbians, angry feminists, praise of Africa and Islam, hatred of the West and all the other things cocktail party Guardianistas like to signal their virtue about.

Please like me... I'm more virtuous than you! I hate UKIP the mostest. Nasty little Nigel, free Palestine Crying or Very sad

I don't think it is a surprise that a journalist doesn't like a TV show. There were plenty of people that didn't like Top Gear and the only reason this story has been written is because TGT is a massively watched show.

No one cares because there are always people who dislike certain types of TV.

I think your view on The Guardian and their readers is just as bad as this journalists opinion.

Hmm, did you actual read the article or just the headline. I couldn't find anything of what you described in it. It was a lot more eloquent than that.

He actually made a few valid points (Episode 2 was tiresome).

Only 5,802 have bothered to review it, doesn't sound massive to me.

Don't confuse my comments with offence, it was merely an opinion, you know, like arseholes.

While I enjoy the programme, I think the writer of the article has presented a good argument - that the programme should concentrate on what made it popular and enjoyable.

Accusing the Guardian of being a shit rag then quoting a Buzzfeed article seems hypocritical though. Razz

I have followed the link in the OP and actually read the article!

The article itself is a masterpiece of mealy mouthed guff!

The article is telling The Grand Tour what it should be doing and how it is, merely a facsimilie of the final Clarkson series of Top Gear, (No shit, wasn't expecting that Rolling Eyes )
Considering the Guardian, and it's readers, made no bones about despising everything that was TopGear and were frothing at the mouth at the prospect of JC getting the sack, how anyone take the article seriously is beyond me!

Second rate freelance writer takes a swing at GT to get a reaction and appear to actually be a notable journalist...

Just one snapshot of his twitter account tells you all you need to know. I'm just glad the Brexit and Trump votes have made his 'wound' sore.. Laughing

So what. The only thing good about TG were the specials which were more travel shows really. The studio stuff and power sliding round a disused airfield in megabucks supercars had gotten old years ago. So there's plenty of reason to dislike GTour without just being oppositional to it because its main presenter is a well known tory sympathiser.
