Just to clarify, the 33bhp restrict kits have to be fitted by a shop, you can't just order one yourself. It will be washer to go under the carbs/FI units and some bikes also have a throttle stop. The restritor kits are made by a company called FI International and you can get them for pretty much any bike. You don't actually have to have a 33bhp kit made by them, your bike just has to be 33bhp but using the FI International kits is easier. The FI International kits have to be fitted by an approved dealer, speak to your local shop as they'll either be able to fit it or will be able to tell you where nearby can fit it.
What biking experience do you have? How old are you as that'll make a fairly bigger impact on your insurance.
Don't get a new bike, especially not a new 125. You won't keep it that long, despite whatever you might be saying about "I'll keep it for a few years" as lots of people say that and then it doesn't happen, and the second you leave the showroom you knock ~£500 off the value off the bike. And dropping it (which is very likely to happen with your first bike) will have a nasty affect on the value of the bike. Buy secondhand and let someone elses wallet pay for all that. |
