Hi guys!

Its time for me to get back into riding again after a couple years being a fanny in a cage! Used to ride a CBF 125 until about 2 years ago. Managed to get my full (A1?) 125cc licence, and have decided to bite the bullet so to speak and get my A2 done.

With regards to buying a bike though, I've been thinking a 600 bandit which I will of course restrict ( Rolling Eyes) just like my first ever bike (embarrassing ped boii back then) was!

What bikes best? Ive got a 57 mile commute each way every day, but want to be able to have a good hoon, ideally ride 2 up as our lass might fancy it, wanting to spend £1000-£1500 I don't see the point spending much more on an A2!

All advise is much appreciated so cheers in advance

Ahoy.

25,000 miles a year?

I'd want faired for that, and would be thinking more along the lines of a Deauville or even a Pan Euro. Not exactly weekend funmobiles, but realistically, that commute is going to take the shine off of things pretty quickly anyway.
