 |
|
Hi all,
Myself and the Mrs are heading to Prague in a few weeks and other than the usual sights... Castle, squares, medieval clock etc.
I quite fancy booking a beer spa - not the best thing for the wife who is gluten intolerant.
It will be our wedding anniversary and her birthday (on 2 different days) so spa type stuff she would probably love.
Does anybody have any recommendations for places to visit/eat/drink at and things to do?
Many thanks |

It depends on your amount of luggage.
Bus is an option, I guess: https://www.prg.aero/en/parking-transport/transport/public-transit/ ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I think a Taxi would be the most simple and quick solution but how much should we aim to pay/barter too? |
The price list is clearly visible, mostly on the driver's door from the outside, OR inside the car. I'm not sure if it's in English as well though. The law only says it has got to be in Czech language, having the full pricing VAT incl. Thinking of it, the price list has got to be visible from the outside, as you also pay a fee for entering the taxi car. So even before you decide to enter, you have got to be certain of pricing of the service.
What you pay for: mostly a fee for entering the Taxi car, then per 1km OR if wating for you, then per minute.
They say the situation got better and most of the taxi drivers are honest these days.
If I wasn't in the very east of the Republic, I'd pick you up in my pimp mobile myself, for the price of the fuel.
EDIT: You could also rent a car. If you check that site I posted, there are some interesting vehicles. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Getting a taxi to/from the airport won't be a problem, make sure on the return journey you get the hotel to call you taxi. General advice is to never get a taxi on the street, as these can be rip off merchants.
For getting around, get yourself a public transport ticket, we got a 3 day ticket, and these get you on the metro/tram/buses, and dead cheap too.
If you're into getting drunk with lots of other people, book yourself on the prague pub crawl, we went on one that got us into the 5 floor nightclub, much fun, much drinks! ____________________ 2010 Kawasaki ER6-f - Given to the Mrs.
