Is there a best way to remove rust from a rear spring easily? I thought about getting my dremel on it but not sure if it is the best way. The shock is rusted a fair bit.

If you can remove the spring from the shock give the spring an overnight soak in this.

May be ok on the shock as well but I cant be certain of that.

Sweet, thanks. I will try it see if it works on the shock. I am ready to replace it if it does not. I know i could just replace it with the new one but want to see if can be cleaned first.

Use a wire wool kitchen scourer. Thread it around one turn of the spring, and use a see saw action, pulling it back and forth, and work your way along the entire spring, turning the spring as you go.
