Car insurance. I've had another year of not crashing into anything, so that means my policy goes up by 25%?!

Before you start saying "shop around" I have. Meerkat, Direct line, Confused, and GoCompare. No one can get within £100 of my renewable. WTF.

Just depressing that we're all paying for the Christmas drink of that bunch of crooks. Yet they declare a "loss" every year as the move the money around through so many other holding companies. Sickenly corrupt. It makes me very angry.

Bike theft.

Someone else had their bike stolen from my usual commute park up spot and was "chained," not sure what with.

Questioning if to ride in or not.

Would anyone really want a 13 year old ZR7.

Is a 13mm prag / disc lock / oxford chain / steering enough.

What a world.

Is truthful although I wasn't parked up or anywhere near spot when other persons bike was stolen. Seen about it on the net.

I see.

Was it nicked last week? If so, it was Half Term so that probably explains it. You'll be safe until the Easter break. Thumbs Up

Today. Well, half terms is this week around here. Someone else also echo'd that opinion.

Increase in byklyf on the local park all day long.

Suppose it's just one of them things you forget about until it happens on the door step.

Had it 2-3 months and been OK thus far although never say never. Suppose even with the best chain it could still get taken. Design flaw galore.

School holidays are the same trouble everywhere.

On the canals.....

Boats broken into, set adrift, set on fire. Bricks dropped off bridges, shopping carts thrown in the cut. Rolling Eyes

Just don't threaten the little shits, you'll get in trouble.

Shitty weather in winter is the safest time of year, they are tucked up in their little shit holes playing with the dole donated x-box Thumbs Up

Fish tank is fucked

No idea what but sprung a leak

All over sockets which went bang

Luckily all fish went in spare tank which is clean and ready to go

Seems too many fish to leave in it though

So unsure what to do

Also daughter wants turtles

Same for me. Just done the online quotes and not one of them is within £50 of my renewal!

Indeed. Sods law could have it that I'd leave the bike at home for the entire week and then it could get nicked on the first ride afterwards or anytime thereafter. Could spend forever worrying about such topic but then I'd never ride the thing.

13mm Prag/Oxford/Disc lock/steering lock is more than most so can't say I under-secure it.

Oh well, take it in and lock it up as usual and hope for the best.

Thumbs Up

Kriega's customer service.

I emailed the sales team last Friday morning to tell them the adhesive-backed Velcro part of the tank adapter kit is peeling badly away from the tank after little use. Emails were rapidly fired back and forth and I provided pictures of the Velcro coming away.

He provided me with a link to buy new ones from their site. I replied suggesting that he might send them out FOC. No reply. Emailed again first thing this morning. No reply.

Cool story etc. Thumbs Down

I think you missed the point.

I wouldn't really have minded if they'd said, "no sir, sorry sir". It's the implied "no" by lack of response that's gripped my shit.

However, yes, I did expect them to send out some nice new adhesive-backed Velcro to replace the stuff that has failed following limited use and in a short period of time. I use their £25 harness to attach my £109 Kriega bag to the tank so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something that costs them pence to bulk buy / produce sent out FOC as a replacement.

What I need from them is not expensive to buy, but principulz yo.

Locking wheel nuts. Bought a car recently and front o/s tyre goes down every couple of days; not flat but down to 15 PSI. It's a newish tyre so I'm thinking it might not be sealed on the rim properly as there are no nicks on the side wall or foreign objects on in the tyre.

Drove to local tyre dealers who popped the cap off and asked for the locking wheel nut, can't find it. Can't remember where I put it. Bloke I bought the car off gave me the locking wheel nut in a little black velvet bag and told me not to lose it. I have. Have to keep topping the tyre up now until I can source a replacement.

Do the scrotes still nick wheels off cars anymore?
