Does anyone else on here own a business?
Have you managed to find out what your rise will be and who did you contact to get the figures?
We are on the verge of employing another person , we might be able to afford them or we might be able to pay our increased bill.
Luckily Amazon will be better off and another High Street can die.

Almost 10% drop in the local rates.

Only problem is the council will now look to recoup it from everyone else, on top of the 3% council tax rise and move to 3 weekly bin collections,

According to the link above our rates should go down £1000 to £350.
A shop of similar size to ours on the other side of the crossroads will be paying £3500. How they work that out I have no idea.

Bloody Tories forcing rate reductions on hard working people.

Where will the shortfall be made up then?

Please see above.

Seeing as the business rates are paying to the local authority and all...
