OK, here's a new one, although long suspected: Legitimate businessman Michael Carrick awards £1m sub-contract to legitimate businessman Michael Carrick. That's from the £9 million of public funds that's already been poured down this black hole.

How this project is still apparently progressing with that... Adam Aarons... at the helm is beyond me. Surely he can't be a fit and proper person to run it?

Have you set yourself up as a consultant yet? Or maybe a Welch/English translator. Don't miss out on that sweet, sweet taxpayer bounty. Drooling

Ah, finally the much needed stamp of probity: Unite demands that construction commencify.

I'm pretty sure I know where some of the unaccounted-for £8 million of public money has gone. Whistle

HotVDC-is-a-scam say that the circuit will have motor racing teams queuing up to rent it out for testing.

Actual motor racing teams say: not at the prices you'll have to charge, we won't.

I didn't know British Motor Racing Club owned "Caldwell Park" someone needs to tell MSV to stop leaving their bins everywhere up there. Laughing

They missed out Donington as well.

FFS just let it die already. If Wales wants a half decent circuit then just do up Anglesey.

Trac Môn itself is very nice to ride. For spectators, the views are excellent. The facilities on the other hand, notsomuch.

To be fair you could park a caravan on Anglesey and call it The Hilton Smile

Four hundred million pounds might buy a portaloo or two.

The private company behind this white elephant have just been caught using £7 million of Taffy.gov money to pay off unrelated existing debts.

This appears to have been done just to keep them solvent in the hope that they can go and hit up the private sector for hundreds of millions in more loans.

The phrase "good money after bad" leaps unbidden to mind.

Reminder: construction was supposed to start in 2013 and be finished by 2015. They've been paying Dorna for the rights for the British MotoGP rights since 2014 and are tied into doing so until 2024, regardless of whether they ever put a shovel in the ground, which they haven't yet

As to consultancy fees one of the backers to this scheme actually owns a consultancy firm and so far has paid himself £1 MILLION POUNDS so hes doing quite nicely out of it

This thread makes me sad. What is it with modern Brit productions that almost 'require' a two-pounds-of-flesh approach to literally every step of the way.

Look at the facking great garden bridge project that's being pleasured beyond it's very realms. HS2, all things that are expected to take a lot of monies to achieve seem to attract wazzocks who are happy to vampire their way through everything leaving the original ideas bare and unfulfilled.

Bunch of wankers. Brexit means we lose high calibre bankers and businessvamps? Good riddance.

Oh, never mind, I already hot-sauced it last year. It was the "just" that threw me. Recommencify the kicking.

Someone needs to sit him down and explain in small words (since he clearly seem to struggle with larger ones) and we know he's a conn artist and to sod off from whence he came.

Won't build a spare bridge - the current one is already too bloody busy.

Welch Audit Office: We're not saying it's a scam, but...

Oh, I didn't realise that Al Beeb has already done a 30 minute hit piece on it.

Wow, that Michael Carrick comes across as a right Grima Wormtongue. His face when "BMW World" was thrown at him. Laughing
