Hi all
Brand new (well ex-demo) Tiger - took it for a ride London to New Forest couple weekends ago. about 100 miles at way. On the motorway, twice on way down, twice on way back, TPMS light came up with the symbol flashing on the dash too.

When I worked out how to see the pressures, they seemed to be a bit high (can't recall exactly but maybe 37 front, 45/46 rear?). Dealer has said they will look at it if I want but also that the Triumph tech guy has just said it was normal because pressures go up at motorway speeds ... I know pressures go up with heat in the tyres but (a) this was in pretty sh*tty weather on a British motorway not on Catalunya in the summer and (b) I would have thought the sensor had some budget in it for that?

Is it just pressures a bit high or should I get this checked out? Has this happened to anyone else? Note the sensor went off again the first time when I pulled off into the services and the other times just after a bit of time.

Sounds like bs to me, along the lines of "they all do that sir".
The TPMS systems I've seen are all low pressure warning systems.

I could be wrong.

Tbf to the dealer they're perfectly willing to have it in and give it a look

Can I go to any Triumph dealer? Also if I ask them to investigate something and they say "nothing wrong" is there a charge to me?

Warning lights are covered with a warranty.
If no joy take it to another Triumph dealer saying that the other cannot sort it. They may end up with you as a customer.

Presuming it is the same as my Trophy there is only low pressure alarm and low battery alarm (low battery for each of the sensors). No over pressure.

I have that going on now but am not going to do anything till the tyres need doing as you have to take off the tyres to change the sensors.

Yes, you can go to any Triumph dealer. No, they won't charge you ut they might not do anything if they can't get the fault up.

Reading that again, it's total bs.
Ask them if Triumph designed the system so that every time you go on the motorway you have to pull over to check if the tyres are just warming up or rapidly deflating?

Sounds like one of the TPMS sensors has an intermittent fault.
