Fitting longer or shorter dogbones is quite an easy one, especially when the bike has a centre stand. Another alternative would be to have some foam cut from the seat, seen that done alot.

How low are you going? 40mm is actually quite a bit to drop it by, might be better to try 25mm first and see if that works. 40mm also makes it hard to haul the bike up onto a centre stand and gives funny angles on the side stand.

Don't be sucked in by the expensive links, the ones around £15 on ebay are fine.

You may want to lower the front down the forks by a similar amount too, otherwise it may not want to go around corners..

Be careful with the stands when you lower it by that much.

In all honesty you might not be able to use the center stand anymore once the bikes lowered and you might need to take it off, and the bikes side stand angle will probably need changing.

You can probably buy shorter side stands these days but when i have lowered bikes over the years i would heat the side stand shaft up just above the foot with a welding torch then using a bar over it bent the foot of the stand up putting a curve in the stand itself.

I gave that some thought, so here's what I did, I got a length of 4x2 CLS
and placed it under the centre stand and was able to get the bike up with a wee bit of extra effort, I don't think the whole bike will be 2" lower tho will it ?, I may source a side stand cut and weld a foot onto it
Thanks Dev
