Anybody got the motorcycle theory test book they don't mind selling or lending? The GF wants to do her test, and all the stuff I have is quite out of date! The library appears to be dead...

The local library will have it. Search the online catalogues and see what you can find.

When I was doing mine, the local library had books and DVDs going back every year for the past 4 years. They had kept buying the latest edition whenever it was released. They also had a system that local library users could use to log in and sign up for free courses. Basic literacy and numeracy for slow people, but also lots of driving stuff, including access to a site that had free mock theory tests.

Most of the stuff is found online these days, you can get her to practice some on the DVSA website too. Thumbs Up

This. It's free, decent, and I passed with zero issues first time.

I've got the DVSA book and Hazard Perception DVD knocking around somewhere if you're still in need. It's free if you want it. Just PM me.

There are also plenty of mobile apps available (some free, some paid for) that will take you through each and every question as well as all the hazard perception tests

Ha! Apps! As if she'd use those. She barely even uses any of the features of her phone, let alone actual apps!

I've had a kind offer of the PC-DVD thing, and I'll probably take that up, but she did say to me yesterday "I need to read it in a book!" so we'll see how well that goes down... She really is a luddite. Rolling Eyes Smile

Haha, fair enough then

I find the apps so useful as it's a easy way to kill 5-10 mins when bored, but then i would get bored to tears trying to learn it all from reading a book

Different strokes for different folks

I've got this that I'm happy to sell on (I'm in Woking - so can drop 'round instead of posting):
https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/the-official-dsa-theory-test-for-motorcyclists-12th-2013-ed/9780115532344

It's pretty much brand new since I bought it less than a year ago and I'm very careful with my books Very Happy I'm with her on the whole 'book' thing tbh. Plus there's info in this book which was on the exam which wasn't on any of the online practice tests I did or the actual exam.

The GF works in Guildford, so she may be able to collect at some point? How much would you want for it?

I have the DVSA official one, not sure where the CD is. If anyone wants in the north east and they can collect they can have it.
