So I only lasted 3 weeks without a bike before i knew i needed another, so much for saving money Very Happy

Took a bit of a gamble on this beauty. Many i'm sure would be terrified by the thought of a 33,000 mile Cat D Ducati, but it has a great service history, is in very good condition (although needs a thorough clean) and most importantly was in my budget! I was looking at 749's but this actually worked out cheaper than most of those for sale and I really couldn't help myself.

In the last 3000 miles it has had new tyres, chain and sprockets, valve clearance and belt service as well as a clutch. With a bit of tlc I am sure it'll be great. Hopefully the gamble pays off.

Pics from the advert:

Got it home last night. Pride of place in the living room whilst I make some space in the garage

Crummy rim tape and pillion footpegs removed. I also took off the damaged exhaust guard and have a new one on order

I will keep updated with the clean up and fettle process if anyone is interested?

I usually see something on a bike I'd want to change.
The only thing on this is to possibly have the belly pan red too.
Everything else is fairly sexual. Thumbs Up

Sports bikes don't normally do much for me, but that looks terrific.

The only things I'm a bit meh about are, I also wouldn't have removed the rim tape (needs some red lower down, for balance) and I'm not sure about the end cans - I bet they sound great, but I would have them shorter, level or just short of the tail lamp.

Just my opinion though, still a great looking bike.

Looking at the photos again, I'd have to agree, knocking about 8cm off the can would be good.

Yes the later Termis were slash cut and a bit shorter, look great but an expensive change!

I have a nice before and after pic for today. Removed the black screen and replaced with a clear double bubble. I'm sure this will divide opinion again Laughing
