There were loads of them (and the compressor) in my local branch today when I was down there trying to buy Muc-off...

Just got the aldi kevlars they are actually pretty good well lined, not really suitable for every day work though I can imagine they will get too hot.

actually the socks should do for my MX boots Thumbs Up

and bought some chain cleaner too

shame they had no cheapo helmets, they normally come with a replacement visor too, and I tend to bin them every 12 to 18months and replace once I've scratched both visors.

How much longer? My £30 jacket, £50 boots, £15 gloves are still going after 4 years. I'd probably still have my original lid had it not been stolen.

The old, old, style Lidls tank bag lasted be for a few years, and then I gave it away, it was exactly the same as a branded one from the old Heine Gericke shop, just a different logo on it, and about a quarter the price. Thumbs Up

Had a look at the bike covers, and it seems identical to my Oxford one:

Even the bag it comes in seems identical

Bought the waterproof trousers last night, as well as chain cleaner and chain lube (but meant to buy wax, oops)

PIcked up a pair of the more expensive jeans, couple of tubes and some of the socks

the jeans seem to be very good quality, but very heavy think i'll be sweating like a peado in a playground come summer.

Was going to pick up some of the cleaner and lube but paraffin and gear oil will be just as good and much cheaper

Bought two pairs of the socks, 2 tins of chain wax and 2 tins of chain cleaner.

The certified jeans look really decent!

Shame about the sizing, nothing below 34in. And they seem like a very generous 34 in too!

Bit late but ive got a pair that im wearing now. With the kneepads and armour in they re pretty tight. However sitting around in them they seem to breathe easily.

I got the 36" as I'm this size in normal jeans and they were huge, they're massively baggy also and the knee pads sit below my knees (I'm 5'9" so not a short arse). I'm returning them and going to try the 34" hoping that the girth in the legs is reduced in ratio to the waist size as honestly the 36" were unbearably loose around the arse and thighs. I know they're all 31" in the leg but if they were a tad tighter around the rear then the knee pads wouldn't keep sliding down.

On quality they are very heavy which I liked a clearly they're lined allover and the pads seem as thick as my pads in my textiles.

Smiler do you mind disclosing your waist and height and commenting on the fit to see if I'm wasting my time re-ordering the 34" instead?

Tried waterproof jacket out at the weekend. Is excellent. Nice long arms. Is waterproof. Zip cleverly designed. Lots of scotchlite on it. Stands up to 3 figure speeds without the arms coming off.

Two guys in them on our club run at the weekend.

I've got the jeans, I'm a 34" and they're pretty big on me - I can get my fist down the front Shocked

Theyre also pretty heavy and thick so we'll see how they fare against my ancient HG textile trousers in the summer.

jeans arrived and i was out in them today. Mesh lining is comfortable. Very generous sizing. Might be as warm as my textiles with the lining out, but definitely more breathable. Will do for surviving New Model Army tomorrow.

I exchanged my 36" certified £50 jeans at nearest store no questions asked. 34"s have sold out online and the 34"s were few and far between in store, had to dig to the bottom of the cages, tonnes of 36" and annoyingly none of the pairs in store had the hip armour in so I asked if I could swap the one's out of my online order at the til which they were fine with.

Gotta say the 34" fit great, they are the same round my waist as a 36" jean I normally wear from the supermarkets (no big brands for me Sad ). Anyone still looking to buy I'd recommend getting the size smaller than your usual and see how you get on. I can still tuck a t-shirt and baselayer vest in these 34"s, pretty sure I'm still as fat as I have been for the past 5 years!

Not sure I've fitted the hip armour the same way it came out though... anyone spare a min to upload a pic of which way the hip insert goes in the pocket please?

Also got the bike cover (great quality) and tried the gloves which felt very sturdy although couldn't bring myself to buy as already got a decent set.

Very impressed with the range, never heard of Crane before the special buy but certainly not been put off. Thanks OP.

Well better than shorts and a t shirt, but always what you can afford!!! I'd rather Aldis gear than nothing! But better what you can afford!
