Took me a while to realise that you've sprayed the silver bits black, looks nice. Did you do the tail unit as well?

They're carbon fibre but yes, undertray, 'eyelids', and air intake surrounded as well.

I started when fixing some crash damage because the lower fairings were cheaper than the OEM parts and then had to carry on, obviously...

Out of interest, does your seat cowl fit straight or is it wonky like mine? Don't think I've seen anyone else with a black one before!

Well it looks good with the extra carbon.

Mine fits straight on. Most people seem to go for white but I love the stealthy look. Have had a fair few bikes over the years and I was worried that coming from a 175bhp V4 the Daytona would feel gutless but it's a real peach of a bike.

Shame Triumph have pulled production and won't be bringing out a successor, but it does make ours a little more prestigious.

Have you taken it to the track yet, I'm hearing mixed opinions on passing noise limits?

Thanks mine's slightly off-centre and it really annoys me!

I think consensus of opinion at triumph seems to be that they'll do a 765 next year. Obviously nothing official yet though. Part of me would rather keep this one though—I've seen maybe one other on the road and I think it already is a fairly prestigious bike.

Unless a 765 blows my mind, the 675 is still beyond my ability as a rider and I love it.

I'm planning to take it to snetterton on 12th, weather permitting. Not taken it on track before and I've only been to donnington once before, so I'm not exactly an experienced track rider. Bit scared to trash it (again) but I'm looking forward to it.

Noise limits are a bit of a worry. My Austin Racing can is loud and I'll have to go and find my baffle but I'm still not sure if it's below 95db with it fitted.

You may have some genuine information but I'm hearing the new Street RS is their next gen "sports bike" and the Daytona is dead for the foreseeable future. We'll see...

I can't wait to get it on track!

Out for a roam today with a friend on his 125 scaryped, I stopped off on the way home for a scenic photo across the cricket green.

Progress, still loads to do though!

Front mudguard is WAY too high up.
Tail light section needs chopping and welding
Rear mudguard needs shaping after the cut
Front wheel, disc and caliper need correctly spacing

Plus a lot more! and I have a month to do it! Razz

Did you design that subframe/suspension system?

Nope, everything on there is an off-the-shelf aftermarket part.
The frame is an aftermarket version of the Honda Z50J (Monkey) frame in alloy with more rake on the headstock and extended by about 10cm Smile

I have some doubts as to the saddle bags on the Beta. I think I'd better put some sort of heat barrier between the exhaust and the outside of the bag. Also, I'm planning on riding this 90 miles to a rally, with a big rucksack too. Embarassed
4 or 5 comfort stops each way I should think.

Putting it together is simple, assuming you have at least a bit of mechanical aptitude.
The only issue I had was the chain guard rubbing the chain, but it was easy to fix.
Overall, I highly suggest exactly this one for anyone looking for cruiser bike.

Umm, have you looked at any of the other photos in this thread? what difference between yours and others do you see. Hint, there is a flippin' engine.

Feel free to cycle over to here.

8,500. Looking at the warranty book it looks like it's been used 1 week a year Laughing 08/09 was last warranty stamp @ 4616, so 4k miles in the last 8 years.
