Hey guys,

Just wondered if there was a catalogue or easy way to find out which parts of a certain bike were interchangeable with other model/years of same or different manufacture.

I own a CBR 125r 2004 the oldest year in its catagory range. I know some parts from the 2010 models are interchangable but obviously not all.

Would be usefull to know if anyone has a method to finding this out as it would increase the chance of finding a bargin part.

Cheers

There isn't a catalogue of which parts of a certain bike were interchangeable with other model/years of same or different manufacture.

Best bet is a forum specific to whatever bike it is or in this case <shudders> www.125ccsportsbikes.com

You can (or used to be able to) do it on Ron Ayers site

https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/c/honda/parts

I used the Suzuki one to find out my old rear lamp holder was the same as a Hayabusa's one (more readily available)

Still works, I looked up part number 11360-K28-910 from a Honda 125, using the search by part, then clicked the "where used" button and it lists more than the bike I got the part number from.

There's a slight problem in that they don't have the CBR125 listed on there. Wink

The really useful Ron Ayers "Where Used" feature was removed, probably because people were using it and then buying elsewhere. It's a US company.

Search by part number either straight into Google or try https://www.partzilla.com or https://www.cmsnl.com

Edit: wait, t121anf found the Where Used button? Thumbs Up

Checking part numbers and seeing what they come up as is the only way I know. Some sites will list all the bikes that use a specific part.

Thanks for the replies guys,

Also found this site which samples auction sites for the part number:
