Hi Everyone

the RHS panel has its paint work damaged but no cracks,

so I am thinking of removing the panel and dropping it off at a workshop , as this would be cost effective Idea

Can anyone advice please on how easy it is to remove the panel ?
can anyone recommend a good repairer with reasonable prices ?

Thanks

B

Removal is simple enough. Make pictures before and as you go, so you know how to put it back together. Thumbs Up
Paint job = DIY or the local paint shop. Not as expensive as you'd think.

If this is your first project, then I've got yet another word of wisdom for you. Get a clean cup and put in it all the screws, nuts, washers and bolts (and other small bits) that you take off your motorcycle. Thumbs Up

Candy finish paint on these.... Not easy to replicate exactly and NOT cheap.
Then you have the cost of the decals @eyewatering.com!
Seriously. I had a friend in the states ship me a new panel (marked as second hand, of course), worked out far cheaper. (But that was before the pound tanked against the dollar.)

A guy called Taffy on the B.I.R.D. website does a complete set of exchange panels for the bird in any colour you want for £500. Good work too.

If you're interested let me know and I'll PM his number to you.
