Hello all,

I'm in the process of building a KX 250 supermoto (2 stroke).

I was wondering how a 320 mm disc with stock caliper and an offset bracket would work on track? I've heard people experience fading on bigger bikes with standard offroad calipers so I was thinking that a light 2 stroke might not have the same problem.

Anyone with experience?

if you aren't suffering brake fade with your current set up and riding, then you won't suffer it with a larger disk. the larger disk may give the calliper a slightly easier time overall, as it will shed heat faster than a smaller disk.

I found the KX callipers were much better than those fitted to trail bikes at the time.

I am running a larger disk setup on my kmx200 with an uprated calliper and master cylinder, as the original setup was quite weak IMO. It is a great improvement in every way.
