Afternoon peeps, ive come to test my T.P.S on my 2012 Yamaha x-max 125. ive followed the manual but has it got to be unplugged to test? because the manual isn't very clear.

There is 5v to the sensor from the loom but when I test the sensor while operating the throttle the values are 0.

I'm thinking it is faulty can any one tell me if I'm correct please Smile

If you're testing voltages leave it plugged in, if you're testing resistance unplug it.

Even on closed throttle you should get a small voltage back.

This is assuming you are testing correctly.

immobiliser wont turn off, I've been told on the Yamaha bikes the tps can cause this to happen.

I put the key in switch on the fuel pump doesn't prime, it cranks not starts. Also when the ignition is switch on the immobiliser light still flashes even with the red key inserted.
