Haven't used it a great deal but yes it seems fine. Is it that difficult for you to hook-up a freeview box though? I'm using an indoor TV aerial, and can pick-up all the channels without a booster on this particular box.

maybe
the TV has freeview built in.

According to the freeveiw signal thing we are 4km from the palace transmitter.
i will try with an internal aerial as im sure there is one in the shed somewhere.

I use a box partly for the HD channels (my TV's from before they launched freeview HD), but also because the built-in freeview on my TV's a c**t to get a good signal with. Aerial + booster + perfect aerial position and I can get all the channels but the right freeview box's in my experience a lot less of a headache. Mine was £30 from Argos btw.

I can always stream films/shows in 1080p no problem, but still can't stream live TV without constant buffering. Terrestrial channels are slightly better but I would not stream live TV if I could help it.

BBC, ITV are usually fine, but sky, sports, anything non-terrestrial I've always struggled with despite having 35meg speed.

That's due to demand, it's like with the Sky F1 channel, streams fine outside of race weekends but grinds to a halt when everyone tries to watch the race.
