Honda fes 125 all ready for mot and started this morning. It did not do the usual diagnostic swing and when I rev the engine it swings like a tacho and back wheel is not moving. The last couple of things I done is put the body plastics on. Before I undo everything does it sound as a short or a f@@ked Speedo. It is an electronic Speedo.

Why did you remove the plastics? Which plastic? What else did you fuck about with?

Basically all plastics off it had engine out for repairs. And for bodywork repairs cracks, grazed, and missing lugs, it was a spares or repairs project. Speedo was working normally a few days ago. Unfortunately I have only noticed it today so I am taking handle plastics shroud off at present that was late on in the build and most likely culprit.

So, did you unplug any wiring?

Basically unplugged slot of connectors. Consulting workshop manual the Speedo is driven off the pink wire from Speedo to ecm and speed sensor on back wheel. So multimeter out and chase the pink wire seem best.

You've plugged connectors together wrong.

Partly fixed the rear speed sensor was not fully clicked. Speed now does not move when driving only when rotate. However still does not do the switch on sweep. Ecu reset performed and no codes. So good to go for mot. It will lest have no codes and no fluctuating Speedo needle.
