I'd say the lesson to be learned is to take pictures of things before you take it apart so you know where they go when it comes to time to put it back together Thumbs Up

I suspect vice meant lesson being take lots of photos when taking apart to aid in the putting back together bit.
Ooops beaten to it.

The haynes manuals can leave a lot to be desired. I have a similar issue with part of a zx6r project that I didn't take a pic of despite having some 200 odd pics of the the dismantling. Haynes make no mention of orientation of a part (can fit two ways), no pics.
I found the correct way when ordering parts from an exploded diagram.
Might be worth checking out dealers websites to see what's on there.

A photo would really help y'know
<sacrcasm> it's a pity mobile phones aren't equipped with even rudimentary cameras and there was an easy way to publish pics on the interweb</sarcasm>

I'm currently tarting up a wee scoot for one of my lads and
the GY6/152QMI carb pipe work isn't that hard
The fuel pump is driven by differential vac/pressure tapped from the manifold
3 pipes
this vac pipe is teed off of to a cover on the side of carb to what looks like an accelerator pump.

Edit: Just found out it isn't an accelerator pump, its an air cut off valve

The carb has supply and drain
2 pipes

You may have a vac tap on the fuel
1 pipe

There may be a vac pipe for the exhaust gas recycler valve Euro3/4 shit for all I know ( which can be dispensed with btw)
