Portofino, manual winder with 8 day power reserve. The quality is exquisite.

Had a bit of a bad experience with Tudor the other day - well with someone that sold them anyway, and it was vaguely motorcycle related. Eyed up a Tudor Blackshield Fastrider but the salesman got too pushy, fed me BS about the movement and that he'd just come back from Mugetto with Dugati and met wossisname Valentino Marquez and they were all wearing Tudor innit, and just wait for this brand ambassador to come on board, prices are skyrocketing etc. Meh.....

Apparently it 'came to be' because Rolex, who own Tudor, were angry at people defacing Daytonas with black PVD coatings and army straps so they 'listened to their customers' and provided one of quality via their sub-brand Tudor. Why is it even watches need to be sold with a BS back story these days?

8 day! Mega movement in that. I have been mostly impressed with my last watch purchase of a Christopher Ward trident pro - not exactly expensive but great as an every day wear - nice automatic movement and all the trappings of watches that are much more expensive.

Cat because BCF.

Find me a decent supply of sockets to cover 44, 45, 48, 52, 68 and 78mm to suit the bush casings, and then matching larger sizes to pull them out into for less than that and you're doing better than me.

I'm about the tightest person alive, but having wasted a weekend pissing around with it and snapped two pieces of M10 rod it was a choice between this, or three BMW specific tools at ~70 each.

Just hoping this will actually do the job!

How on earth they managed to release a design which on the subframe has:

4 subframe bushes
3 diff bushes
4 lower arm bushes
All pressed in, as well as two anti roll bar bushes which are impossible to replace on the car and another rosejoint and bush in each upright

I'll never know. Most other manufacturers seem to manage to bush the control arms, or provide bushes in bolt on housings.

Replaced my HTC One M7 and it's terrible battery life (after nearly 4 years)with a WileyFox Storm (and its not as bad but still not great battery life). A really good phone, but it is let down with the battery.

Also, Wifes birthday, so multiple cards, flowers and presents. Furthermore, it was our anniversary the day after, so Perfume, DVD and more cards.

My bike died on the way home from work on Thursday, and further testing shows the batters is kaput. 40 for a replacement from Halford.

Oh, and a Nintendo Switch (and a couple of games) for the kids birthday at the end of the month. I am skint now.

Aaah...take your point.

Maybe they make it complicated just so people get put off and take it to the dealer.

French car perchance?

E90 BMW saloon.

I dont think its anything devious, I suspect it's optimised for assembly at the factory where the bushes are installed by machine, the entire rear end assembled and then lifted into place and 4 bolts done up.

For most people it's not an issue, they last 150k miles by which times its a banger and you replace the two rosejoints that will fail an MOT and ignore the rest.

Unfortunately Im not like most people, so I got an advisory for two joints on the MOT and pulled the whole back end for a refresh Rolling Eyes

Not the first car I've done and probably wont be the last, but everything gets bigger year on year and suddenly you need 21 and 24mm sockets for actual fasteners and your 32mm socket isnt enough for pulling in the new bushes Laughing

A new sleeping bag that will hopefully keep me warm. It feels cosy enough but I am going to give it a test-nap when I get home.

Am disgusted at this threads obscene worship at the alter of consumption. *

When in Rome. Laughing

Splashed out on some "proper" bike boots and brand whored it with Jacket and gloves. I like Spada because they are keenly priced (this lot was also on 25% off) but the gear is good, although not the sexiest.

Jacket has zipped vents, pockets in the liner as well as the inside of the jacket (+ outside). Outer pockets are velcro and zipped. CE back, shoulder and elbow armour.
Claims to be waterproof, but isn't lined like a bin bag. Thumbs Up

Also replaced knackered set of trimmers with this wee thing.
25 and brilliant......although to be fair, it doesn't exactly have its work cut out for it.... Rolling Eyes

Never mind the altruism Mr Fisty. You may be chucking dog food and pizza around to the needy. But you still owe BCF.
