There is a plaque on my bike that relates to the 86 expo in Vancouver. Now this may be boring however I'm curious what it relates to. I've had an apparent old owner contact me saying he shipped the bike to America from England and then rode to Vancouver, Canada just for the show. This seems a bit random just to go through all that hassle just for a show.

Can't seem to find anything on the date at all (I've left the image big so you can see it easily).

I've already checked that page however there is nothing regarding that date, memorabilia in the form of plaques or about a BMW stand.

I would imagine that on the dates you have, there was a special meet of some group of people. Probably nothing overly important enough outside of the circle that met up.

I'd also imagine the worlds fair was often a place for large/medium groups of people to meet, considering the place would be interesting as fuck for a weekend get together for like minded people.

Why not speak to the old owner. You know the one that contacted you saying he'd shipped the bike there. Maybe he would be able to tell you all about it, as he was there.

As an exercise in "what was I doing back then?" I just realised that on or around those very dates, I was returning from a week at the Edinburgh Fringe, and met the father of my child for the first time in a pub in Parsons Green.

I have a suspicion that Smiler has blocked you so can't see your messages.
