Hi There,

I have lost my key for my bike and i am pretty much stuffed.

What options do i have other than spending £150+ on a secondhand ecu and lock kit

Thanks - Joe

Strip the front end down, leave it lying on its side and let the council take it away?

Well thanks for that, not massively helpfull tbh.

There is no way of wiring it, or anything else?

I read somewhere that the pink wire has to see a certain voltage, does this work?

That was my spare key, my original key fell out in bredbury after my ignition got knocked out the first time it got stolen, I would put my key in, switch the bike on, and that time i forgot to take the key back out and put it in my pocket as there was no ignition left to hold the key in.

Wizards sleeves aside, what you are asking for is information on how to bypass motorcycle security.

Why on earth do you think anyone would give this information to a stranger on the internet (foc Laughing ) is beyond me.

You made a mistake and now it's going to cost you. My suggestion is get it sorted by a professional, or alternatively piss about like arcane did, either way it's going to cost more than the price of getting a spare key. Live and learn eh?

I'm just wondering whether there is a key code with the bike's paperwork or seat sticker? A quick Google, "Honda motorcycles replacement key" shows some specialist locksmiths who look like they can do the job. Here's two examples;

https://www.autolocksmithoxfordshire.co.uk/replacement-honda-motorcycle-keys.html

https://www.keyhonda.co.uk/motorcycles/

I have no experience of either though.

Edit:

LOST HONDA MOTORBIKE KEYS AND DONT HAVE A SPARE?

If you have lost your only Honda motorcycle key, we can supply new keys cut and coded to your bike..To enable us to create new Honda transponder keys we will need the bikes ECU or dash and ignition barrel (or keycode if you have it) posted to our Oxfordshire workshop, once received we will cut 2x new keys to suit your ignition barrell or lock code, and program these keys into your ECU, once you have received these back from us, simply plug them back in and your bike will start with out any further programming required. this service takes around 3-5 working days from receipt of items from you, cost varies from £125 - £275 depending on make, model and year of the bike..contact us for a quote and availability

Oh dear.

If the lock has been punched can you stick something else in? A screwdriver or another key?

Might help. Although as noted on their "problem bikes" section, the HISS on your bike can be a bit troublesome.

You don't need that to change the locks.
HISS means you need to change the CDI, as you'd already worked out.

It seems a rather expensive. I used a professional locksmith too make a key for my car when the key was lost. He came round in his mobile workshop reprogrammed two keys and cut them to suit for £100 a key. I am not familiar with the intricacy of the HISS security system but surely
a mobile specialist could help. By the way it was a 2nd hand 2008 Citroen C4 picasso and I only got one key.

Got to ask but why the axle stands for a missing key....sorry I am missing the point.
