My honda cbr 125 2006 plate decided to just to die on me the other week. Doing about 55mph when it just went sluggish and then the electronics just went off and had to pull clutch in and slowly stop. Wouldn't start up straight away but eventually did.
When i put it into 2nd gear the bike would stick at an RPM and then just want to not move. it would stay stuck on roughly 5k rpm and there was no go at all.
Upon getting it to a garage they striped my carb down, cleaned it put a new spark plug in and oil change. The guy said it ran fine for him when he tested it out after!

Now when i switch into 3rd gear sometimes it'll do the same and stick to around 5-6k RPM, I have to switch down gear to get any speed again. Sometimes it will go above 6k RPM and just after you switch into 4th it does the same and it'll stick to an RPM and will not move till i switch down again.

To better explain I have included a video of what it sounds like:

Have had a Dan moto straight through exhaust fitted but was fine after fitting that for a couple weeks.
