Repair the hole or buy a new exhaust.

This again, eh?

Yes, put it back to stock.

You might get lucky by adjusting the idle mixture. If you show us a picture of both sides of your carb (your carb, not a generic picture of what might be on someone else's bike) we might be able to highlight the idle screw.

In a pinch, hold your hand over the back of the exhaust while you start it. Yes, this is serious advice, I made the same mistake and this got me going until I'd put it back to stock.

And: put it back to stock.

It's really not worth the effort of carb tuning just to make the exhaust a bit louder. If you don't know what you're doing regarding carb tuning then you'll probably just end up making things worse. I concur - fix the hole and put it back to stock.

I had done the same thing regarding the holes in the exhuast on my keeway too.... ultimately, it made it harder to start in the mornings....lunchtimes.....and generally any other time....
Lucky for me I found some shiny bolts that fitted AND tightened up to seal the holes, that and a smudge of gun gum to heal seal the holes proper.
Shouldn't need to touch the carbs if you already haven't fettled with them.

Pro-tip: don't drill a bigger hole than you can pop-rivet.
