You should have undone the handlebar risers and blamed it on Yamaha and their recall..

Rider has to hit the ground for it to be a proper spill, with the odd exception: https://youtu.be/jr6R5dQa8hY?t=27s

#11 I think?

Came round a corner, next truck was parked in the middle of my lane, car in the lane opposite, too late to stop, binned it.

Managed to not hurt anyone else or damage/touch any vehicles, my bum hurts a bit and somehow I have a graze through my jacket onto my forearm. But I'm just tired and feeling silly.
Jacket is fucked, jeans saved my kneecap which hit hard, and are still okay, helmet is fine, boots are fine, gloves are a bit beaten, but the scaphoid protectors really helped, so I owe hood and Knox a thanks.

Bike however isn't in the best shape. Forks are forked.

Best part is I have it all on my helmet camera, -_- I will upload later when I'm not aching as much, along with some more photos. Now I need to start sorting out my bike, so time to write up a post in the workshop Confused

Thanks, still scared shittless, could have been a lot worse.
And yup, it is a 60, so I was indicated at ~5mph over at most. I know that road like the back of my hand so it is fun, and you could go round that corner at twice the speed if you wanted to.

Bare in mind I don't have brembo m50s or ABS, I have a 20 year old shitter with single disc brakes that were seized when I got them and I did the work myself to unfreeze them.

At the end of the day I was going too fast, if I had have been going anything above 50 I still don't think I would have definitely stopped. blind corner, with truck right out of view. Pissed off as there was a massive drive for the truck to reverse into, but it decided the middle of the lane on a blind corner was a good idea. I still take full responsibility, if I had have been going slower I would have stopped.

Lesson here is the speed limit isn't a target, I was going at/very close to the limit, and even 10-20 mph less I still would have struggled.

I think you missed the slow sign on the floor at 0:00 - 0:04. I wouldn't have been going that fast because I never, apparently, get out of second gear, wheey.

Best of luck with the repair. Thumbs Up

Were you even looking up the road at all? Your head seems to be pointing down until @ around 7 seconds in, coinciding with you using the front brake.

I had some test footage from before and it was just all sky, so I adjusted the camera down and I suppose now it is all road. I would fix it now but the camera mount has broken.

My head points more upright because I was bracing myself for the braking force, if I never looked up when riding I don't know if I would still be here after a year and a bit of riding

Were you really staring at your clocks rather than the road ahead?

I particularly liked the 'slow' painted on the road (0:04) immediately before the truck was visible (0:06)
