Yeah that's a bit more of a shitter than having to wait a few more days for a telly.

Today's gripe is Dawn of War 3. Release day is today, but apparently it's simultaneous global release, which is obviously going on American time. I had it preordered, went to Game this morning, picked up my copy and the fucker won't even install yet. Says unlock in 7 hours, so I'm assuming that means 5pm. By the time it's unlocked and let me install it, my mrs will be home so that's me not playing it until tomorrow.

Go fuck yourselves, Sega.

Feckin cyclists. Turns out the Tour de France will be on the Route des Grandes Alpes right at the time I was considering doing it. Inconsiderate bastards.

EDIT: Ha! Further research shows that Ride magazine got their dates wrong, and Le Tour is in July, not June. Tossers.

Mods, feel free to move this post to "what oiled your gears" thread Laughing

Tends to be the usual time stuff unlocks on steam. You would have thought having people in different time zones buying/downloading at different times would be preferable.

Turned out to be 3pm, but then took 45 minutes to install. You can preload if you download it but not install because fuck you.

Looking on the Steam boards the Aussies are pissed. 3pm for us was midnight for them.

Get personal cover from AA. Any vehicle you are in is covered. Now I'm presuming there is no age limit so shall go have a look.

Edit - From the AA website...

Will you cover my vehicle?

We can come to your rescue if you’re in a car, van, minibus or on a motorbike.

Your vehicle must less than 3.5 tonnes (3,500kg) and no wider than 7ft 6in (2.3m). This also applies to any caravans and trailers that are being towed.

This is to make sure that if you break down, we can recover your vehicle, if necessary.

We'll cover vehicles of any age or mileage. However, if they're used for reward – such as taxis, limos or delivery vehicles – we can't offer our optional Parts and Garage Cover.

RAC cover is the same. My '89 FZR was regularly attended to by them....

Autoaid offer personal cover as well, cars (excluding vans/mini buses IIRC) including caravans/trailers and motorbikes over 300cc I think.

I think he's meant to bring balance to the force, otherwise it would just be an hour of jumping about and screaming.

The twelve year old Sanjit walking with his two pre-puberty pals past me house way past his best time.

Kid didn't keep on walking he decided he wanted to have an oogle so was stood at the top of me path. Had only been there a second and I was behind the rear wheel fiddling with a lock and then when I stood up the Sanjit shot of running down the road towards his pals even looking back as I walked up the path to see what he wants.

No idea what his intention was because I didn't give him enough time to do anything but stand rooted to the spot. Could have been nothing but can't be too sure.

It's a shame that I discovered the huge spanner the neighbour had dropped on me path after they'd gone. I wanted some fun, sad times.

People will pay anything to pretend they're not poor. Im convinced this is the psychology behind Brighthouse.

Again, Ashley was spot on.

Very attractive to dole people. They are on job seekers, of course they are daft.

Stupid people that keep stupid shops in existence.

BrightHouse in Birmingham, rammed full of people this afternoon. Showcasing is the new Toshiba 49" 4K all singing all dancing T.V. Only £9.75 per week. OVER 156 WEEKS.

Sorry?

156 x £9.75 = £1521.00. £1521.00?

When you start questioning the price they ask you to leave the shop. The T.V could be bought for £639 online. I fail to see the logic behind such shops.

They're loading the apr to deal with the people who will be having it collected by the bailiffs in 6 months time. These people can only rely on outlets like this or payday loans for credit. They shouldn't but they will, out of perceived necessity. Have you seen the price of fags lately?
