I've just booked my first trip to the North West 200 in a couple of weeks and I'm really excited!

I just wanted to know if anyone had any tips of things to do/see/not doo/avoid at the event that they wish they'd have known about beforehand.

Things like track access; I'm staying in Coleraine and know that it's going to be hectic. If I get within the track early enough, will I be able to ride around to different vantage points? Is it worth staying on the outside of the track? Can you cross the track at any point during the day (i.e. inbetween races, or not at all?)

Just anything would be a great help to make sure I (and anyone else heading over, for that matter!) can make the most of the trip Very HappyThumbs Up

Have a great time.

Roads close a couple of hours before racing from memory. The website / programme usually gives the information at the time, it's well announced so you shouldn't get too caught out in that respect.

Wouldn't book a grandstand again - enjoyed walking around more. On the road you're closer to action.

You can't get out until racing complete on race days so if you park up inside circuit you've had it in that regard. You can pedestrian across the track between races at Marshall controlled points though.
