Paint is gash. The rest looks fairly respectable (for a Bandit 6).

Sorting the first issue out with the bike, its the only one i am aware of and its been there since ive known the bike.

It seems to have rubbed on something, it doesnt look like impact. Unsure what caused it really. Anyway, a case came with the bike plus a gasket. Its been on a dropped bike so its not the best but it will do.

Bead blasted it at work

Then polished up. Like i said its not amazing due to the damage on it but it will do.

That doesnt worry me, im gonna take a proper look at the whole bike soon, electrics dont concern me though.

And the exhaust looks worse on the photo. Its not too bad, its mainly tarnished. A clean up will some autosol and it will come up well.

I would guess at the age of it, it will have a replacement or been welded already to be honest

if you follow the headers down under the bike, the collector is where all the pipes come together - if that makes sense

Mines a P reg, with 40k on the clocks, with loads more anodised bits than yours Rolling Eyes

Yeah, its mainly tarnish. It looks quite rusty in the photos but its not too bad in person. Like i said, a going iver with some autosol will make it look 100 times better.

Wow £400 and it sailed through its mot to boot. You'll be able to have 12 months of fun getting back into biking then flog it for profit.

Find out when valve clearances were last done, it's locknut and rocker so an easy job if the head bolts aren't siezed. I Got my mkII with 7500 on the clock and she got noticably crisper after valves were done, they had drifted a little after I put another 8k on so I'm ging to be sticking to schedule. If you keep up with clearenace checks and occaisonally change il and stay ahead of the usual suzuki corrosion bandits are supposed to last well.

£400 is a bargain for an MOT-pass bike.

have you ridden a b6 without the uprated springs, do they make much difference?

Update, ive had the bike a few weeks now, and to be fair not done much miles at all, 100.. maybe 150.

I had an issue with the fuel tap using all the fuel in the tank when set to 'on'. Sorted that by fitting a bandit 400 fuel tap i had hanging around.

Idle was a bit fluffy, i balanced the carbs and shes nice and crisp now. They were miles out. Going to set the valves and give her a new set of plugs along with oil and filter this weekend. God knows when they were last done

Not even an advisory on the paint?

Missed oppo, Mr MOT Man.

The good gentleman who MOTs my turbo bandit every year always includes an advisory that the exhaust is leaking. The exhaust is 12 inches long. I love an MOT tester with a good sense of humour.

The bandit is an awesome purchase for 4hundy. All it needs is a B12 motor, or a GSX-R 750 engine on the sly.
