Think my examiner had a cam going, ask to see the tape if its possible you will earlier learn something about your riding or see it as evidence to appeal.

good luck

Probably one of those double overhead ones, I shouldn't wonder.

Also, at certain points throughout the test and when the radio actually was working, I felt like the examiner would give his directions very late, to the point were I would panick. Near the start of the test, he asked me to go right 3rd exit on a roundabout when I was literally right on top of it and never had enough space to get over as the right hand lane was busy, so I purposely stayed in the left lane and just took the first exit. Another example was he told me to take the next left turn, but a couple of seconds later said he got the rout wrong and to just carry on straight ahead...by this time I was already indicating and slowing down for the turn so I panicked a little. It's was a very frustrating 40 mins and by far my worst attempt of the 3.

You know you can't fail for going the 'wrong' way as long as you do it safely, considerately, legally. No need to panic, or even care. Dealing with the route you take is his problem.

Good luck next time.

I passed my mod2 today in 2nd attempt. If I had failed today I would have gone to another easier test centre such as Isle of White.

I suggest you do the same. Maybe book a long weekend to Isle of White and get it out of the way over there Wink

Failing that, you could always try the Isle of Wight.

Stop stressing about the examiner. Just imagine him as a faceless drone without an agenda and concentrate on your own riding.

When I took my test I was told "there's one examiner who always fails you and one who always passes". Yeah, right.

I got the "always fails" guy for my MOD2 and proved that particular theory wrong.

Unless she is that one from Mitcham waltzing about in her leathers.
(hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
lucky my examiner was a big old geezer and the sight of him in his leathers soon calmed me down.

Right Hun, I failed cos I missed a 20 zone, but think all you need is shoulder look. Most instructors say look to the right, mine told me look both ways before a manoeuvre. So before a start off left then right. Just remember that every time you start off. Also it helps moving yr head for mirrors even though you are looking at them, they look for head movement!!!

Forth time lucky Thumbs Up

Just a quick update, I finally passed today on my 4th attempt, got 1 minor for positioning on a right turn at the start of the test...the rest was a clean sheet. Feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders Smile

Same test centre, same examiner? What went differently this time?

There's no shame in admitting it, plenty of us slipped the examiner something, or vice versa.

I've had my bike a while now mate, I've got a 2001 zzr600. Got it insured earlier so my 1st ride will be tomorrow and I can't wait.

Haha, I wish that would have been so much easier. Yep, same test centre, same examiner. What was different was the start time, 1:35 pm (previous attempts were all 8 in the morning) and for the first time I've been out on test it was a lovely day. I also wasn't as nervous this time around. I suppose hard work payed off, I've been at it since last august.

That might of been why, surprised the examiner didn't smell on your breath.
