Hi guys,

The Suzuki is alive... for now. Assuming that I've done everything correctly (doubt it), I just have to small issues left: changing the brake lever (shouldn't be an issue) and the back brake has stopped working.

This is the part that I am referring to.
The circular bit with the teeth inside is sitting either side of the cam brake. I can't seem to prise it open so that I can resit it where it should be.

I can't buy a new one either, because I still need this one open to come off.

Any suggestions on how to widen that gap so I can get it back where it should be? Then I can clamp it shut with the nut and bolt combo.

Spray it with WD40 or plusgas type stuff, give it a wiggle till the rust is free and stick an old screwdriver into the gap to prise it wider. I assume you've taken the bolt all the way out?

As above. Also try to get a thin flat bladed screwdriver in between the gap and prise open should be enough to loosen it and remove.

have you taken the clamp bolt out completely?
as they usualy sit in a groove.
if you have then some wd and a lever will move it in no time

Yep, the bolt is completely out.
I have gallons of WD40, so I guess I just gotta find some kind of flathead screwdriver (harder than it sounds in this house)
