This has been removed on mine, but from what I can see there are no advantages to this?

I think the aftermarket Scorpion can doesn't have the valve in the link pipe, hence the removal.

I still have the stock can and link pipe with the bike. Should I put this back on? I want the best power delivery possible etc.

Would a power commander eliminate the need for putting the valve back on?

That question on GSXR forums is like asking about bike specific oil on this forum.

The 2 schools of thought seem to be.

Remove it, despite what Suzuki say it's primary use is actually to lower noise.

Keep it, it aids torque low down (possibly at the cost of top end power).

I know full Yoshimura systems on the K1/2 showed both BHP and Torque increases and that required the removal of the SET. If it was essential to power I would have thought Yoshi would have made a system that included it.

Dyno time and a PC are going to unlock any hidden ponies and ensure your fueling is correct for your setup. With or without the valve that should give you the best power delivery.
