After a sweltering ride home last night I decided it was time.... I put my summer leathers on this morning.
Of course they still fit.

Shocked Just.

Sad It wasn't that long ago these leathers fit perfectly and were sooo comfy.
They are definitely on the snug side.

Used mine to work and back every day this week and gone out for a play after work most nights as well. I don't do wet weather though.
What is the definition of a weekend warrior?

Turns out the spacking is even worse than I thought. I've just checked and I've been mugged for precisely 50% of my gross salary in income theft, plus a NI shoeing to the head.

50% isn't even a tax theft band!

The absolute need of a certain class of person to make personal comments due to the fact I drive a reasonably expensive, slightly flashy two seater cabriolet with the top down in hot weather.... no I didn't buy it to impress anyone, or compensate for anything. I bought it because I wanted it and could afford it.

A while back a work collegue went on maternity leave and we got stuck with The Worst Guy Ever as her temp replacement. Today she put in her notice (I am happy for her, new job sounds amazing) but she has put her notice in at the last minute leaving my boss no time to scrabble for a replacement.

I just know we are going to get someone horrific again. The last guy sent me a whole page email about leaving a laminator on my desk, except he called it an encapsulation machine with its encapsulation pouches. Everything you had done, he had done but in a way more dramatic fashion. He plugged in my portable heater (that I had left by the bin with a note on to the cleaners about chucking it because it sparked and set fire to my carpet) and almost burnt down the building.

Oh gosh, I can already feel my eye twitching Neutral

The sickening amount of what I call "tragedy porn" getting trotted out by everyone from the conventional media (Manchester bombing tv specials) to Netmums ("how to talk to your child about terrorists attacks") FFS!

(1) eBay sellers over pricing books.

Looking at the Folio edition of The Rise &. Fall Of The Third Reich and there's two editions: 1995 2 volume & 2004 4 volume. The latter, despite the content being the same, looks the better, and apparently has more photos but it seems the current owners think they're worth more than they are (eBay sold listing confirm).

Offered £30 to one seller and got declined. Offered £10 lower than the asking price on the two volume and got declined (what the fudge is the point of having a "offer" button if you wont accept).

Looks like I'll have to dig a trench and wait for a four volume at the right price to appear, no fun.

(2) Resurfaced roads.

Ended up on one that was half done and covered in stones and surprise surprise by the end of it I had to pull over because my bike sounded like a pedal cycle with a can shoved inbetween the tyre.

Pulled up and couldn't see nothing but noticed a small silver canister (laughing gass?) and a flattend pop can on the entrance to where I'd gone through (private little side road). Amount of bloody debris on the road is a joke. I won't keep count of how many times I'm going to have to pull over because something's stuck somewhere, I feel this is going to become a reoccurring theme.

Lost my back door mortise lock key today while out walking the dogs, through about a mile of fields. Never mind, someone will be at home to let me in the front, and the lost key's unidentifiable as mine, and there's a spare at home.

Except no, there's no spare key at home. Brick Wall

Is this the same car that lunched the wheel arch? If so, dump it back in their lap mate, it's a lemon.

Edited to say you didn't take my advice and go to bed till June did you. Now I suggest you and your missus do a John and Yoko hotel love in for the next 4 days, it'll be cheaper. Thumbs Up
