What to do when someone steals your bike ?

Hi guys,
I was watching videos on youtube and its kind of worrying that they just steal bikes anywhere no matter if its crowded place with people with grinder or other tools. I for sure wouldn't just stand and film someone stealing my bike. I would fight for it but question is what if the person has some kind of weapon/grinder what to do then ?

I could fight them no problem but mostly im worried about grinder in someones hand or a knife
So what are the recommendation ? Maybe some fake gun ? gas gun ? or pepper spray or taser or them police ''bars'' where you can extend them and have some kind of metal rod/stick to beat people

What would you guys recommend ?

OP asks what to do if someone steals your bike?
When people steal my bike , I cry like a baby all butt hurt! Thumbs Up

On a serious note , I try really hard not to put my bike somewhere where it can be stolen + Spyball immobiliser + BIG chain to lamp-post+ Datatag etching.
Also I'm a pussy and only ride in the better weather to nice places Smile

Mind you , that doesn't stop the toe-rags from damaging your bike or them unbolting parts of the bike to steal Evil or Very Mad

Hmm come to think of it, my dad parks his car directly opposite my bike usually facing it. I'd get in and floor it at the cunts hopefully knocking them off or scaring them away, or at least delaying them until the police come.

Also would tell the police the guy was holding what appeared to be a handgun and told me to stay inside and not do anything stupid, something along those lines. Armed response will respond, whereas "my bikes being nicked" isn't serious enough and they'll probably not get there in time. There's been plenty of stories of police showing up an hour after the fact to take descriptions/eyewitness accounts and give you a crime number only for the case to be closed within a day.

Then I'd go store my bike in a mates garage for a few weeks so they don't come back and burn it.

Fighting with a helmet on is not a bonus IMO. Aside from limiting your senses it is an easy thing to grab and have a decent about of leverage over.

Bottom line is fighting tips are worthless. No one in a situation will remember anything once the adrenaline is flowing. You'll either act or you won't it there is no thinking time.

Everytime I've hit someone it was a subconscious decision, I had no decision making ability it was natural.

Obviously I am totally 'untrained' in fighting. Anyone with Martial Arts experience will have (more) control.

Actually, on reflection, I can give some solid advice here so I will.

Look up this technique English name is "kill face", I'm not sure of the Japanese form. There's a guy who runs a MA Dojo in America who released a few instructional videos a while ago and one of them covers this exact subject.

If I saw my bike getting nicked, and they were obvious experienced headcases, I'd just watch. My kids having a Daddy is far more important than a machine or money. If it was chav scum in trackies and socks pulled over their trousers then that's a whole different thing.
