Hi Guys,

Ive just passed my big boys test so have to take the stableisers off.

so, I got a 92 zzr600 and have found a wire that's just doing nothing. not plugged in. any idea what it is? its the red n white one.

my zed has one just like it, also not plugged in. no idea what it does either, sorry Laughing

aha! in that case I am happy. does yours also have an earth on the rectifier bolt that holds onto the frame? Ive got the clip which has some snapped wires on it.

This is probably a bit more important. Without a solid earth, the rectifier will play up / not work.

Have you searched for a wiring diagram?

Yes Ive had a look. the standard wires are there and plugged in but the bolt that holds the reg to the frame has a wire connector on it. Ive not seen that on anyone elses bike pics/ diagrams :/

Ah I see what you mean.
In that case I'd guess that someone has fitted an aux power supply or heated grips in thw past. Only a guess though.
