Right Hand switch problem, Suzuki Intruder VS600

I have a suzuki VS600 GLS intruder '95/6 version.
In my right switch I have a black with blue tracer wire that keeps tripping the indicator fuse. I have to leave the connection under the tank disconnected so that the rest of the lights work. The only problem is that in doing this I have no speedo display light, the small bulb light in the headlamp does not work and my tail light dont work (bulbs have been checked and work). Can anyone help me with remedying the situation. I need to get my MOT passed

It will be tripping out because there's a short to earth, perhaps insulation is pinched.
This could cause a fire if trip doesn't work.
Solution is find damaged section and replace or replace the whole run with another line perhaps cable tied alongside as a way to get through MOT.
