Anybody been to St Ives today?

Nice little rally there, BMW, HD, Victory/Indian, Herald all had stands, some nice clothing stands, some very expensive secondhand clothing stands, an assortment of food stands, Steve Parrish, live music and a flypast by the Lancaster bomber!

Nice....

Nice little show in Skipton, getting incrementally better every year. Some quite tasty stuff on show and the best fish and chips in the town centre.

Seems these little shows are filling in where the loss of the major BMF shows created a gap. They are getting better and better, St Ives has grown since last year.

I go to the odd one, not always my cup of tea, but unlike ^^^ I also like some of hobbyist side of things, but, mainly riding, and yes, it's my main method form of transport for commuting. I too ride in all weathers all year round, although, I'm not keen on rain, snow on other hand, is much more fun. If riding really does bother you that much, why not use an alternative form of transport?

I go to Stormin' every year but only because it's my birthday in that week, and it's a good excuse to get away from home!, That's about it, however I am going to Llan bike fest this year, but that's mainly to meet up with mates I rarely get to see.

The St Ives festival had bikes ranging in age from 1911 to 2017, so over 100 years of bike development to look at. An assortment of bikers from V twin cruiser riders to ancient geezers in full racing leathers. Some of the racing bikes were gorgeous, like the racing Velocette that is still competing, various BSAs, customs, one lovely custom paint job that was all dragons, a Vincent also crept in an was hiding somewhat bashfully, a Benelli Sei, lovely MV Augusta single and I left me phone at home so no pics!

Riding isn't a hobby for me in fact it fucks me off.

If you really were a high earner you'd have a fucking car. Fact is you are too thick and too poor to join the 4-wheeled master race.

I'm intending to go to the next Malvern classic show/jumble, and I'm gonna get myself to the October Stafford cmm show, only for a look around and to get motivated for this winter to build up something out of my other KMX.

I wouldn't mind another project for next year, but think I'm too autistic to stray from 1980's Japanese 125 trailies.

Certainly not my cup of tea but interesting none the less...

Saw lots of dirt bikes as well... Got me hankering to sell the Track setup and go play on some green lanes Laughing
