For the MP3 player and can use it as my phone.... Pretty standard answer Wink

The iPhone 4 is costing me £100 from a mate

Exactly. I have an iPhone 5, the iPhone 4 before that, and the 3G before that. I've used each one as my sat nav, phone, web browser, music player, video player, camera, point prover (google ftw).

Phone free on contract, sat nav app was £25 at the time, then I wasted about £50 trying a variety of cheap holders. Then bought the RAM system, wish I had done it properly the first time, false economy for the cheap stuff.

OP, I had a further idea. You could use the bolt I have circled below;

Replace it with this part;

https://www.buybits.com/Product/6011/Ram-Gps-Mount-For-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Clamps-Ram-b-367u-sku-6011.aspx

So basically, the ball would stick out from there, and you just attach the clamp arm to it. The part I linked to above is for M8 bolts, so find out if that is M8 or M6 e.t.c. - You can get different bolts for the part I linked to above. It should be cheaper than the telferizer and also a bit more subtle when not being used.

Cheers,
Dan

EDIT: At some point this week I will put up a video showing my RAM set up.

Also, on a side note, you can then use the RAM mount to mount a camera if you ever wanted to - could buy something like this - https://www.ram-mount.co.uk/round-base-with-1-ball-and-camera-mount-threaded-stud-p-1258-c-360_168.html

As promised, here is the video to show the set up;

In the video description is also a picture that shows where the mount can be added to the bike.
