Fifth Element - 9/10
Perfect film with a perfect cast. What's not to like?
Sorry I'm being insanely biased, but its one of the few films I can bear to watch more than once (I hate repetitiveness - something to do with a photographic memory I think /humblebrag)
If you haven't seen it before - its a SCI-FI film by Luc Besson (currently doing Valerian I think?), starring Bruce Willis, Mila Jovovic, Gary Oldman and Chris Tucker.
Bruce plays the usual sarcastic rugged good guy, Gary plays a quality power hungry bad guy and Mila the perfect being or 'Fifth Element'.
Timeless.
(don't worry no matter what you say about it my opinion wont change!) ____________________ Honda cg125 J reg peice of shit ---> CB650F ---> 2016 CBR600RR

The Magnificent Seven (2016) 7/10
Straight up remake western. Set up our baddies (booo) and our spunky heroine (wholesome but low necklined), introduce our medley of good(ish) heroes, get right down to the bang-bang.
Can't really argue with the premise or the execution. It delivers exactly what it needs to. I can kill again! ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

The Equalizer (2014) 4/10
Starts off promisingly enough with Chloë Grace Moretz hoiked up all the way yonder, but then turns into a fairly plodding sausage fest. Denzel Washington shuffles around being Geezer Batman, with some weird handicap that makes him incapable of picking up a gun.
It's pretty slow paced, formulaic and predictable, not really worth the time. None of the fun of RED. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Galaxy Quest - 9/10
One of the best star Trek movies Sigourney Weaver looks hot, forgot Alan Rickman is now dead, Tim being Kirk Tim and Tony Shalhoub acting like he's in some Outer Limits dream.
One of my favourite scenes that had me in stitches:

Going in Style - 6/10
Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin are three pensioners who need money, so they decide to rob a bank. Great cast, good plot, not so well executed. It had it's moments, but I've expected a bit more from these lads. They even got Christopher Lloyd to take a part in it, who did a great job, considering his role.
Alright comedy film, nothing extraordinary, predictable jokes and plot twists. 6/10 is reasonable. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

San Andreas 4/10 - Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays the hero, saving his family from a devastating earthquake, ripping off car doors and shit. Never mind millions of people died, the main characters survived so it's all good
Goon 3/10 - not a single laugh for me, yet this film has got decent reviews. Not sure I was watching the same movie |

Focus 5/10 - The Fresh Prince and Margot Robbie () team up as grifters. It's ok, would have rated it higher but it loses its way a bit with a convoluted plot. |

Is he though? I've never really rated him, or thought he had much screen presence - he's no Mel Gibson.
Charlize Theron is more Big Screen, but phones in the character, what there is of it.
It's got the Raiders of the Lost Ark problem as well - the nominal protagonist might as well not be in it.
And it might have been the Amazon encoding, it might even have been deliberate, but I found the dialogue practically inaudible as well. Just explosions and muffled yelling.
Great visual spectacle, but that's about it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I think Tom Hardy's a good actor. Watched The Drop last night on film 4 which was fairly meh, but his performance shone through. And he tackles bike thieves |
