I know Blackbirds have a sporty riding position, and cycle ergo says it's a pretty similar riding position to the SV650S I had. One reason I sold the SV was because the crick in the neck I got from constantly having my neck back to look up 'cos of the leaning forward position.

But lots of people say Blackbirds are super comfy and they can do miles on them. Am I missing something? Or will I find it the same as my old SV comfort wise? I've got a good chance for one, and I've wanted one since they came out in '96 when I was 13! (Every teenagers dream I guess lol)

If anything the CBR1100xx is a bit steeper.

Though nothing stops you from buying risers or replacing the top yoke so you have tube bars. Though cool and comfy do them they have a bit of a rep on here.

I think maybe people were talking about the seat and wind protection the CBR1100 has a thicker seat than the POS on the SV and also slightly better wind protection.

Mile munchers all day long. I guess it would depend on your size.

Assuming 5'9" and 30" inside leg:

More leanier than an SV though, is the take-away.

OP's problem is his neck though, and the Blackbird looks to be worse than the SV. There's a reason that adventure is the new sports for touring.

It's like a bit leanier but hands slightly higher and knees less bent, based on 6' height and 31" inside leg. Not going to be any significant improvement but I might need to get a Blackbird out of my system while I'm young enough lol. Cheers guys.

If you were closer to Bristol I'd let you have a go on mine and see how you like it.
