My old Sony xperia was giving me a headache for the past year, so I decided it was time to get yet another low range phone. So far I'm quite confused as the new Android OS is so different from the one I've been using (4.xx), that I struggle to set it up. BUT I can finally use the gmail again, so that is already a one plus, I guess.

What version? My current phone came with lollipop (5.x) installed, I persisted with it not liking the layout, having issues until I upgraded to marshmallow (6.x) which's a million times better Rolling Eyes

Ten 15p bags of Skittles for my passengers, they were on special at the petrol station.

I put three of them out (that's all that fits in the cupholder at the back, cos there is an annoying California Scent thing stuck in there) for passengers, but I think they thought they'd have to pay for them ...

... until a load of rude-boys piled in at Bermondsey and scoffed them all between there and Rotherhithe. Little buggers Laughing

It's 7.1.1

It's so simplified it makes it confusing to use, but I'm getting to know the system. The new ''swipe'' to unlock, accept a phone call, turn off the alarm clock... makes me the most trouble.

Also, the physical controls are different and Nokia doesn't seem to like music listeners, as the factory music player is awful. The Sony alternative had a perfect music player with very nice graphic EQ, right out of the box.

I was worried the tyres might not be that great on the road, but the dealer has the original Avon Roadrunners available if I don't get on with the ones fitted (Continental TKC80's). It has the rear pillion pad, but I'm fitting a rear rack. It's getting a full service and prep, and I'm picking it up the day before OMGWTFBCFBBQ 2017 Smile

I used one of those once. Now I know why there are so many unused ones Neutral

My cheapo PVC one was handy, but was thin and tore easily - this one will probably see more action as a groundsheet/tarp.

Try buying the high end brands like Regal, Silk Cut or B&H ect... You'll end up paying over a tenner a pack. Shocked

Corr. Bloody bargain that these days.

I thought most 20 decks were at the £10 mark.

No, she already has a waterproof fleece lined coat. At the moment, her kit is better than mine. I'm using an old
worn out Aldi themal ski jacket and its about as waterproof as wallpaper. That said, there's a metaphorical blank cheque
available for anything she does need... I do spoil her a bit. I changed vans mainly for the dog.

The Conti's aren't as bad as they look on the road. They're actually pretty smooth, and grip is passable in the dry.
