Simota, K&N or stock air filter ? [Yamaha XJ6N]

Hi all,
So im planning to buy new air filter as my stock one is dirty.
I've been reading about filters and i come to either Simota which seems the same as K&N just different color but cheaper 10£ or K&N but after reading a bit i heard that they don't filter as good as the stock one? And that you will have to change oil more frequently ?
I don't ride a lot since i bought the bike last year i did about 3000 miles on it.

Which air filter would you recommend guys ? Or which one are you using and your opinions on it ?

You won't have to change your oil more frequently if you fit an after market air filter. (Or are you referring to oiling the air filter after cleaning).

Stock or K&N (Whichever is the cheapest). To be honest you're better off having the stock one in and changing it, than a K&N and never cleaning it. In theory K&N last forever, but most people just fit them and never both cleaning them!

If you're doing minimal miles, whack a stock one in.
