Can this be used to loosen a seized chain link? I bought some cos I discovered one of the chain adjuster bolts is seized, but then found this stuck link too. Says on the tin it's ok to use with rubber and plastics, so I don't suppose it'll damage O rings? Any reasons not to use it for this?

if it's rubber and synthetic safe it will be ok on your o-rings, but its nature as a penetrant means it may get past the o-rings and contaminate the grease inside.

I wouldn't use anything thinner than engine oil, and pliers to wiggle it free.
