Just had a call from Kent Police, they found my stolen GSXR (the second one, stolen from the City) in a warehouse in North Kent.

According to them, they implemented a search warrant and uncovered approx 30 bikes, some intact, some in pieces and some in the process of being stripped down. This was a well organised operation they were running which the police described as a "slaughterhouse" for bikes. They also found palettes containing parts which appeared to be prepared for shipping.

My bike was one of the few with the plate and vin still present/legible so they were able to get hold of me straight away.

They've arrested 8 scrotes who are now on bail. I was asked if I'd be willing to give evidence to CPS if needed, to which I gladly accepted.

Ownership of the bike is with the insurance now, so I won't be seeing it. But glad the scum and their little enterprise has taken a knock, however little that may be.

That's good news.
I wonder if the scum will ask if the can pay their £200 fine in instalments?

Important questions first Smile

Yes very much so. Now I'm completely used to snatchy nature of the throttle and have learned where to find the power I need when low down, it's a much nicer ride.

Really enjoying the upright position and throwability of the bike too, makes commutes so much more fun.

All in all very please and I'm glad I spent a little extra on this instead of the ER6N I was considering.

I think I saw that on the news. So does it make any difference to you now that it's been found, or do the insurance company just recover some of their payout?

Insurance now own the bike as they had paid me out at the time. I have enquired about buying back as salvage so we'll see what happens there. it was a mint bike and if the damage is as minimal as the police say then it should be back on the road no probs.

I hope someone picks it up soon, since it'll be racking up storage fees the longer Dibble have it.
